Lulworth Cove Inn

Lulworth Cove Inn

This hotel is located between Swanage and Weymouth and overlooks Lulworth Cove, which forms part of the World Heritage Site, with its internationally renowned Jurassic fossil area. Situated on the South Dorset Coastal Path, the Lulworth Cove Hotel is an ideal base from which to explore the Purbecks and South Dorset. The beach is just a 3 minute walk away. The historic county town of Dorchester is nine miles distant with its Thomas Hardy history museum and where the notorious assizes of Judge Jefferies took place. The memorial and museum to the Tolpuddle Martyrs', founders of the British Trade Union movement, is near Dorchester. The historic Saxon walled town of Wareham, formerly a Roman port, is within easy reach, where on the wall in St Martins church, you will find the tomb of the renowned T.E Lawrence of Arabia. His former cottage at Clouds Hill can also be visited. For railway enthusiasts, the Swanage privately restored steam railway is a must, where you can drive the train yourself! Lulworth Castle is within walking distance of the Lulworth Cove Hotel. Nearby Durdle Door is yet another fascinating feature of the heritage coastline.

The hotel comprises fifteen comfortably furnished en suite bedrooms, some with terrace and excellent views of the cove. We accept dogs by prior arrangement. A full menu is available lunchtime and evenings in the lounge bar and restaurant, with seasonal fresh local sea food and a fine selection of real ales, beers and wines. A pleasant garden restaurant is also available. Free parking is available.
